Sweet Chili Fried Chicken @ Oriental Spoon, Melbourne CBD

Korean joints are quite popular in Melbourne. What's not to like? The food is tasty and unique (none of that boring stuff). Thanks to them we were introduced to deliciousness such as bibimbap, japchae, seafood pancakes, hot pots, bulgogi and much much more. This time around, P chose this place just because, well, we haven't been here for a while really. Not since, oh maybe, 2010?

A to C ($8.50) Plum wine, apple and cinnamon cocktail

There were plenty of items to choose from the menu but we decided on the Tofu Steak ($12), not pictured here. And the Sweet Chili Fried Chicken ($33) because we both decided that we deserved something fried that night. And they delivered - big time. The huge platter was good for 4 people and we were both starving. To say it's a decent size is undermining it. But I'm glad we ordered it. The chicken pieces were deep fried in batter and were crispy the smothered with a sweet gochujiang sauce. Thumbs up!
