I love collecting cookbooks. I remembered the time when my friends were raving about the Kindle and how the age of book printing will be coming to an end and how you can store millions of books in a small device, I have to admit that a small part of me deflated. On the Cheap: Kay's Chicken @ Hanaichi, QV Melbourne, Melbourne CBD

Kay's Chicken (AUD 9.80) You don't have to be rich to have a decent lunch in the CBD area. Living in a food-loving city has its perks for sure and that is variety. I'm pretty sure that I can eat out for 6 months in a row and still have choices left. However, when we can't eat like royalty, dining on the cheap side is the way to go. Kyoto Winter 2018: Day 4: Uji

Our Day 4 started with breakfast. It was actually a bit challenging to find a place that opens quite early for breakfast. I think the Japanese are not really breakfast people, even though they like the cafe culture, their sense of enjoyment of it is quite different from the Western world. Coming from Melbourne where brunch is such a big deal, this is somewhat difficult for me. But having said that, I have to say that I like the simplicity of it all. One of the places I liked for breakfast is this place called Inoda Coffee, which is a local favorite. I enjoyed the simple yet strong coffee and simple sandwich. These are not meant to make you full, but more provide you with the sensation that you ate something and can carry on with your day. After this, we headed off to Uji.
