After waiting for 20 minutes for table at Hardware Societe, we decided that our tummies are a-callin' for food. Although not entirely ravenous, we headed towards Melbourne Central via Little Lonsdale and discovered Thousand Pound Bend.
Coffee here - soy latte - is drinkable. The area gives me the feeling of being in hippie central and of course, the weather in the city being over 35 degrees, I could imagine that Mexico must feel this way, everyday. The service is a bit erratic and moody. If you're expecting quality service and experience, don't count on it. Food is enough to satisfy the hungry beast in us. I badly miss the Reuben sandwich I had once upon a time in Charlotte, those bloody Americans really know how to make a good hot sandwich.
Also watched Cloud Atlas. A good one, if you could sit through it.
