A few hours at this year's Noodle Market proved to be extremely worth it.
The smart ones will always choose to go a bit earlier to avoid the queues. Still, the queues have already started when we arrived there at 5pm.
It didn't stop us from trying to get the best grub that the market has to offer and it is always such a good reminder of how excellent and varied the food here in Melbourne is. The food-scene is always hip but also pays homage to the authentic tastes. It is just never boring. What a way to end the work week!
Just worth mentioning - a con here, aside from the long queues, was the price. It's been said that the food at events like this are a bit pricey for the portion.

Clockwise from the left - Chin Chin's Butter Chicken Curry ($14) Mr. Miyagi's Sushi Taco (Spider Crab-$12, Chicken $10) Kong's Hot Chicken Wings ($12) |
On the left - Sushi Taco again! I can't begin to describe how good these were. I'm not sure if I like the crab or the chicken better. They taste different with the sauce and the add-ons. If you're a fan of Japanese sushi, this is a MUST TRY.
On the right is Black Star Pastry's Strawberry and Watermelon Cake ($10). The taste is quite floral and not too sweet. If you like your sweet desserts, take a pass on this one and head for the serious stuff.
On the left are buns from Wonderbao - the fried chicken was really delicious! Crunchy, salty and tangy. Perfect combination! ($7.50 each)
On the right is from Messina - Coconut sorbet with deep fried guabao and mango ganache - Another winner! ($12)
