Too Many Apples: Make Applesauce!

I'm not sure how I ended up with a lot of apples. I wasn't collecting them on purpose. So today, I had an excuse to make applesauce. I've always wanted to try to make this and I've read on several blogs as to how easy it is. And they're right!


I made the unsweetened version because I want to cut the sweetness down. I also don't have an exact recipe for this. I just peeled, cored and cut up the apples to 1 inch cubes. Place this in a pot and pour some water until it reaches half the apples. Squeeze the juice of a lemon and place on medium heat. Stir once in a while until all apples have cooked down. This will take 25-35 minutes depending on amount.
