This is a very easy cake to make. No need to cream the butter, almost a one bowl cake mixture.

- I only used 2 apples and left their skins on. I didn't bother with slicing up an apple and decorating the top (lazy).
- I used wholemeal spelt flour.
- Instead of rum, I used Cointreau.
- I used olive oil because I like the taste instead of a flavorless one.
