Karen Martini's Moroccan Spiced Chicken

Karen Martini's recipe. This is the perfect winter food. Full of spices and...butter.

I went to Gewurzhaus to get the spices for this recipe. I don't think I've made a recipe that called for so much spices - whole and ground. However, it's a recipe worth making. You just have to be patient and marinade the chicken with the spice paste overnight in the fridge. Then slow cook it the next day for an hour. The dish is really tasty. It's just that there's so much sauce. I would lessen the water as I would prefer a stickier, drier casserole. You can find the recipe here.

I also made a whole wheat couscous salad with spinach, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, sultanas, cumin and paprika. And served with slices of lemon and harissa yogurt.
