Having hash browns in the morning is nothing special. And the brunch scene these days is so varied, almost nothing wows us on the menu anymore. When I ordered their hash brown with house cured salmon, I was expecting everything to be dumped on the plate, café style. I was forgetting that I'm dining at Le flâneur. There's an extra touch of sophistication here.
After I took my first bite, I had to literally pace myself so that I won't act like a complete idiot and gobble up the rest. The béarnaise sauce is light and fluffed, and not too rich for the eggs and potatoes. To be honest, this is a very tamed variation of the usual brunch that I'm used to. But I like the subtlety.
